Rick Watson is a co-host of the Benicia Voice podcast, a community-driven project dedicated to amplifying local stories, voices, and issues. Since 2022, Rick and the Benicia Voice team have interviewed city council candidates, hosted forums on pressing regional issues such as the California Forever proposal in Solano County, and explored how local businesses are navigating changes that affect Benicia’s economy.
As a proud Benicia native, Rick brings deep roots and strong relationships within the community to every conversation. He is especially passionate about celebrating local culture—supporting restaurants, musicians, artisans, and events that make Benicia vibrant. For Rick, Benicia Voice is not only a podcast but a way to strengthen civic participation and highlight the creativity that thrives in his hometown.
